The Store Homelessness Project works together with the Bideford Branch of the Royal British Legion assisting homeless former members of the Armed Forces with food, tents, sleeping bags and survival gear.
We sometimes help to find permanent accommodation for homeless ex-servicemen and women. We also provide these ex-services personnel with furniture and household goods once accommodation has been found throughout Torridge and the wider area of North Devon where funds permit.
The Store refers vulnerable and needy tenants who are at increased risk from fire in the home for free home fire safety checks.
The Store regularly refers clients to Bideford Foodbank for emergency food supplies where appropriate.
The Store regularly refers needy clients to Bideford Bridge Trust when a personal grant could help and is deemed appropriate.
